California Analytical Instruments Model 603 NDIR Gas Analyzer (Propane/Methane)

The CAI (California Analytical) is a triple detector analyzer for Methane (CH4) and TOCs calibrated to propane (C3H8).  There is a low range and high range detector for TOCs.  It utilizes NDIR for both constituents.  All three detectors can be used for EPA Method 25B.  Each detector has two to four set ranges, which vary depending on the specific analyzer (see below).  The TOCs measured are primarily alkanes.  There are two pumps so the unit can be used as an inlet/outlet analyzer for TOCs.

Helpful Hints

Helpful Hints:
This analyzer is cross sensitive to other hydrocarbons, so it can be used for method 25B.  It should be calibrated with propane gas, which CleanAir has available for rent.   Make sure to specify the output type required as the analyzer needs to be set up for a specific output type in advance.
